Kayden Christopher Phillips, 8, was born on July 5, 2012, to Ms. Shauna Marie Parsons and Mr. Christopher Scott Phillips, in Hopewell Township, New Jersey.
He passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in his sleep unexpectedly in his maternal grandparents home.
By definition, Kayden would be described as pure love. He saw the beauty in every person he came into contact with, and never missed the opportunity to tell those around him that he loved them.
To many, he was a ray of sunshine, with an unforgettable laugh and a smile that could lift your spirit in a way that only he knew how. He was a carefree child, that believed the world and everyone in it should be happy. If you spent time with him, you could expect to play video games, dance, and be a part of a nerf gun war!
Before his passing, he joined Culture Change, a non-profit based in Mercer County, New Jersey, where he volunteered and participated in local park cleans ups. To date, this was one of the most admirable things he has done, as it was a special contribution to the community his mother grew up in.
His humor and optimism were his greatest strengths. The impressions he made will forever be imprinted on our hearts, and the memories he left behind are his personalized gifts to us.
Although we lay him to rest with heavy hearts, Kayden will always be our reminder to keep going, to smile, and to live as happily as he did.
