Thomas John Gross, Sr. Obituary (1954 - 2021)

Thomas John Gross, Sr., of Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday Nov 9, 2021 at the age of 67. After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School, Thomas proudly served his county as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He went on to obtain his FCC License and enjoy a 33 year career as a Senior Project Designer in Communications for SEPTA. Thomas was a longtime member of the Am. Legion Wm. D. Oxley Post #133 and the former Quartet Club. In his free time he spent many hours on the golf course perfecting his golf swing and cheering for his favorite Philly sports teams. He was a diehard Phillies fan! Friday nights were reserved for pizza and wings from Tom's Corner Grill with his family and anytime was a good time for a Tastykake. Thomas is the beloved father of Judeth Gross and the late Thomas John "TJ" , Gross Jr. and the cherished grandfather of Alexis Johnson. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Bratz (Robert) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his siblings, Bob, Gary & Gail.
