Michael P. Skahan, age 66, of Philadelphia, was called to be with Jesus at his home on February 14, 2021. \n \nMichael was known as a gentle giant. Michael had a great love for his wife and family. He always had a smile on his face and could always be counted on when anyone needed a helping hand. Michael was a master carpenter and skilled craftsman. He loved to make things out of wood. He took great pride in his workmanship. His work became his hobby and because he enjoyed it, he never had a bad day at work. He fought hard with addiction and had over 10 years of sobriety with the support of AA. He was also an active member of the young men's group of Saint Katherine of Siena Church.\n \nIn addition to his wife, he will be missed at home by his feline companion, Antonio.\n \nBeloved husband of Alma J. (nee Wheat). Loving father of Michael (Melissa). Devoted grandfather of Braeden and Brynlee. Dear brother of Mark (Carol), Kevin (Marge), Patricia, Sheila (Kevin) Archibald and the late Kathleen Mazzeo.
