Richard Joseph Provenzano passed away unexpectedly from congestive heart failure on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Frankford ARIA Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was 80 years old.

Rich was born on May 19, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Antonio and Rosalie Provenzano. He was a family man and a wonderful father.  He raised his children as a single father while working full time. His unconditional love to his children was seen in their daily lives. The Provenzano boys, when they were in elementary school, were known as the best dressed kids in school and for his daughter Diane, he threw a “Sweet 16” birthday party (no easy task for any father) which to this day is still a cherished memory for her..

Rich loved throwing parties and we all have fond memories of when the family would get together, some of the most memorable were in Turnersville, NJ and Bensalem, PA.  He was an avid Phillies fan and loved the beginning of each season and would watch every game on TV.  For those of us that remember, he loved to listen to Frank Sinatra and watch Bonanza, The Three Stooges and the Honeymooners just to name a few.

Rich loved spending time with his family and had a fun-loving relationship with his children.  He gave all he had to his children and worked hard all his life.  His boys would constantly joke with him and he would give it right back to them.  Even during the end Rich was seen smiling in the hospital from a joke.

We love you and will miss you until we meet again.

He is the Beloved father of Diane (Ken) Johnson, Rich (Stacy), Frank (Paula), Mike (Liz) and Drew (Patty).  He is cherished by his 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Dear brother of Anthony, Stephanie (Mike) Giello and Barbara Ann (Steve) Casciegna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rich’s life will be celebrated with a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM and Funeral on Wednesday 8:30-9:30 AM at the T. J.
